After an overnight stay at Windhoek and a three-hour drive, you will arrive at Sossusvlei, the exotic and famous african red desert. This will be your best chance to photograph landscapes, antelope species such as Springbok (Antidorcas marsupialis) and Gemsbok (Oryx gazella), and macro wildlife such as Horned Adders (Bitis caudalis) and Giant Ground-Geckos (Chondrodactylus angulifer).

An early morning departure from Sossusvlei and a four-hour drive will take you to the land of the Sidewinding Adder (Bitis peringueyi), African Puff-Adder (Bitis arietans) Namib Sand-Gecko (Pachydactylus rangei) and Namaqua Chameleon (Chamaeleo namaquensis). You will also be in the habitat of thousands of shore birds and flamingos.

On the way to the famous national park, you will do two stops along the coast to photograph a variety of marine wildlife, including Brown Fur Seals (Arctocephalus pusillus), Cape Cormorants (Phalacrocorax capensis) and dramatic seascapes. Once in Etosha, you will have the best opportunities to photograph Lions (Panthera leo), African Elephants (Loxodonta africana), Plains Zebras (Equus quagga), Black Rhinos (Diceros bicornis) and tons of other mammals.
